Brief Resume, of Bill:

Previous Work Experience…
Business Manager, Contract Driver, Traffic Officer, Driving Trainer, Business Director, Consultant.
Brief outline of previous relevant work experience.
New Zealand born and raised.
HGV vehicle licence obtained in UK. Contract Driver hauling containers as a specialist driver on truck and full trailer. (a unique combination at the time in Europe – most loads were being moved on rigid or semi-trailer units)
Back in NZ, full-time Contract Driver for Kirk & Graham Ltd., and Heaton’s Transport Ltd., Tauranga, Bay of Plenty and Waikato.
Truck and Trailer operations handling range of products, trucks, and machinery. Cartage of bulk goods, dangerous goods, chemicals, quarried material, steel, timber, machinery/heavy haulage,

Traffic Officer with Ministry of Transport. Duties included extensive driver testing of class F and L heavy truck and trailer. Wide and over dimension load escorting throughout the upper North Island. Also enforcement of Heavy Motor Vehicle regulations and licenced operations by transport companies throughout Bay of Plenty and Waikato (CVIU).

After leaving enforcement behind, Bill gained qualification as a Licenced Driving Instructor in all classes of licence - equivalent of classes 1 through 6.
He was also qualified and gazetted as an Advanced Driving Trainer covering (again in all classes of licence - equivalent of classes 1 through 6) car, heavy truck, heavy trailer, passenger service vehicle, and motorcycle, and as an experienced Adult Educator and Commercial Driving Tutor - has over three thousand delivered lessons to his credit.
In 1994, Bill ceased his Instructor's practice and has been a business director and consultant.
In 2008, with his wife Judy he established Drivers On Call Limited - to supply motivated, highly capable, drug-free, vetted, experienced, qualified, and skill-verified Contract Drivers as relief-driver options to various road transport operators.
All Drivers On Call contract Driving staff are engaged in training plans specifically designed to improve and verify their skill levels, and advance them to new qualification standards. Their assessment, and training development is personally overseen by Bill, as the company’s in-house Director of Training.

Bill has now completed an intensive study and qualification program majoring in Heavy Transport Driver Education, and was recently presented with six New Zealand National Certificates.
